Liquid nitrogen for medical use

Liquid nitrogen is one of the common gases in hospitals. It’s very cold. So, it will freeze any living tissue it comes into contact with. Therefore, applying small amounts of liquid nitrogen to skin problems is advised. Because it’s now a standard treatment. These applications last about 10-30 seconds. And the medical term for this treatment is cryotherapy.

Another medical purpose of liquid nitrogen is to conserve blood.

Liquid nitrogen storage

We supply and store it in cylinders. Because it’s different from the rest of the gases. Therefore, we use don’t store other gases in the same cylinder.

We emphasize careful storage to avoid any hazards. Because the vapor can rapidly freeze skin tissue and eye fluid. And this could result in cold burns and permanent eye damage.

Industrial Use

• Food preservation

We use it in retail food and food service establishments. Therefore, we use it as a freezing agent in food preparation. Also in preservation in the rapid freezing of foods (such as ice cream). And to process dry herbs and spices, and to rapidly chill beverages.

•  Cryogenics

As a cryogenic fluid that rapidly freezes living tissue. We handle and store it using thermal insulation. And we also store and transport it in vacuum flasks.

• Shrink-welding of machinery

Liquid Nitrogen makes it easy to shrink fit shafts into steel hubs. Because it reduces the time taken to complete the job.

• HVAC industry usage

We use it within HVAC  for brazing and pressure testing copper coil. Therefore, it purges oxygen from the brazed surface. This reduces oxidation and gives better adhesion and joint strength.

• Beer production

We use it to pressurize cans of lower carbonated products. And this helps with packaging stability.
